Dr. Manuel L. Mateus

Dr. Mateus entered the Chiropractic profession with 10 years of concentrated undergraduate and graduate work. He holds three degrees: a Bachelor of Arts in Biblical Studies from Criswell College (1990) in Dallas, Texas, a Doctor of Chiropractic from Parker College of Chiropractic (1995), also in Dallas, Texas; and a Master of Arts in Intercultural Studies from Southeastern Baptist Theological Seminary (2008) in Wake Forest, North Carolina.

His post graduate work focused on Applied Kinesiology, Sacro Occipital Technique, and Nutrition which is used for the diagnosis and determination of therapy, providing feedback on the functional status of the body. Dr. Mateus enjoys movies, reading, and eating. He has been married for 21 years to his wife, Elis and they have two children aged 20 and 14. They home school and currently live in Wake Forest, North Carolina. Dr. Mateus became interested in chiropractic at an early age. He was a patient of his father, who was the first chiropractor in Ecuador, South America. He moved to the United States to pursue his chiropractic degree after seeing how it can help people. He hopes to pass down this love of chiropractic to his sons.
